Sean Brokenshire is an experienced digital fundraising and marketing consultant with specialised strategic knowledge in the non-profit sector.
Sean has worked as a professional digital marketer and multimedia producer for over 18 years. Working and consulting with many charities he is a trusted professional among international and Australian NGOs. He is passionate about helping organisations providing humanitarian aid; medical and mental health assistance; education; defending human rights (especially for refugees & asylum-seekers); protecting the environment; and advocating for animal rights.
An experienced digital strategist and multimedia producer who has exceptional skills in a broad range of digital media. Sean’s technical knowledge is also balanced by the ability to lead and manage teams of designers and developers to see projects through to completion. His ability to scope requirements from clients, strategise, estimate, write client and studio briefs, manage client expectations, meet deadlines and ensure projects are staying on track means he is a reliable and results-driven partner
Sean is an advocate of web standards and accessibility, with a mobile-first approach, ensuring that all communications reach and engage the widest audience possible. Pixel-perfect cross-browser compatibility is his strength, and having worked on many high-profile brands including eBay, Bigpond, Commonwealth Bank, Lend Lease, Ricoh, Mitsubishi Electric, and many others, he is adept at adhering to corporate style guides for brand consistency.
Mobile applications are increasingly Sean’s area of specialty, but with experience in online advertising, search engine optimisation, digital video, animation, and much more, it’s difficult to find a digital medium that Sean doesn’t excel at.
Sean has nearly two decades of experience in the non-profit sector, in particular with 10 years at Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) Australia, where he played a seminal role in defining the digital direction and activities of the organisation across marketing, communications, fundraising and recruitment. During that time Sean was sent to Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, and Bangladesh on digital communications assignments to interview patients and staff and create audio-visual material for international dissemination.
